vTA is excited to be involved this new Mixed-Use Commercial and Residential project with DeNova Homes in San Jose. Evergreen is envisioned as an Urban Village designed to create a vibrant, walkable, mixed use urban community. Commercial development is integrated with 250 single family residences to provide services and amenities for the nearby community. The open space will include parks, paseos, recreation areas, trails, dog park, vegetable garden and habitat buffers.

The .75 acre site is the beginning of the newly created “Rails Arts District” which is part of the Wine Train and Napa Valley Vine Trail corridor that traverses through the city of Napa. Collaborating with local and international artists the Art Park will feature a railcar decorated with pottery and ceramic pieces damaged during the 2014 earthquake and donated by local community members, as a reminder of the event. Artists will repurpose the damaged pottery and create a mosaic art scene set within the parklet, which also features a plaza and sculpture garden that meanders through the site, as well as the first of 25 murals painted on the exterior of existing buildings that parallel the Wine Train corridor.
