A mixed-use infill project located just 3 blocks from the Sacramento State University campus, and developed as one of the region’s first transit oriented development housing projects. Working in collaboration with the Sacramento Regional Transit, this project is located on a previously abandoned 1.57 acre commercial building site near the corner of 65th Street and Folsom Blvd., and only steps away from the rail line and bus stops. This project is aimed at students attending Sacramento State University and consists of three residential buildings including one with retail on the ground level, a multi-story parking garage, and a secured access internal courtyard with a number of amenities for its residence to enjoy. This elegant modern courtyard design includes a swimming pool, built-in barbecues, a double sided see through fireplace, shade trellis, gaming areas, passive recreation open spaces, and a pet play area with wash station. A variety of low water use ornamental trees, shrubs and grasses fill the landscape to help shape the courtyard spaces, screen views, soften building facades, and create a beautiful and vibrant background to this built environment.
